WHAT WE DO

Our aim is to care for the needs (practical, physical, spiritual, emotional) of vulnerable children and their families. We desire for them to be empowered and self-sustaining individuals and families. Through sponsorship, we assist with practical needs such as food, school supplies, and blankets. Volunteers pursue mentoring relationships with each sponsored child where encouragement is given, assessment of needs can be made, and spiritual discipleship occurs. We aim to see every child grow to know God and to become who God created him/her to be. We aim to empower and advocate for these children and their families through education, job skills training, and further opportunities.

WHO WE HELP

We focus on vulnerable children living in Masiphumelele, a community south of Cape Town. Our priority is to care for children who have either lost both parents, have a remaining parent who is ill and unable to work to support the family. We work with single parent homes, children being raised by an older sibling, or orphans being raised by extended family already struggling to support themselves.

PARTNERING

Partners are vital to the work of Vulnerable Children SA. We see ourselves as an extension of our partner's hands reaching out to bring hope and change to those who are most vulnerable. There are several ways you can partner with us:

PRAYER - Commit to praying for our children and families regularly. Pray for our team of volunteers who meet regularly with each child.We need your prayers!

DONATIONS - A $40 sponsorship of a child helps provides the following: food parcel, school uniform, blanket for winter, and other needs as they may arise. A full sponsorship of $80 a month covers all of these needs. You can choose to enroll in a partial sponsorship, full sponsorship or a one-time gift to our general fund.

CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP - We welcome corporate sponsorship of monetary or in-kind donations. Contact us should you wish to
provide specific services or items to meet practical needs.

ADVOCACY - Consider sharing about Vulnerable Children SA with family, friends, churches, schools or others who may be interested to partner with us. Spread the word!
